So bogged down last few weeks that I now need a rescue ship.
Not sure why I'm not/am unable to rescue myself. But .... and it's related shit and my own ... Are just wreaking havoc now. Everyday I go in, wondering - what's gonna hit me today! And all the negativity in my head dances around - not to miss out on this golden chance when I'm down.
I wanna just curl up and cry and can't even find the time and space to do that in peace. It's like I'm on an imaginary treadmill 24x7.
And my phone button is also acting up.
Maybe I'm just imagining all of this. Maybe nothing's wrong and I'm just hyper?
So cool! I'm the new virtual reality. Very life-like experiences. Comes at a high price

Tagore
It started innocuously enough.with attending a zakir hussain concert...
who wouln't want to? he's scintillating, after all - and on the wrong (or really right) side of sixty!
and then it was a drug.
Zakirsaab...then Niladri...then the Xavier's music festival...and Rashid Khan...and days blended into nights and nights blended into days...
kumar gandharva unabashedly poured sweet nectar to keep my heart alive...
and then that has been the story of my life, since December 2010.
today, i then, chanced upon this gem:
Tagore's poem, sung by Targore:

Even so, remember me (Tobu mone rekho)
`
Translated lyrics of Tagore's song "Tobu mone rekho":
`
Even so, remember me
Even so
Remember me.
Even if far away I stray
Remember me.
If old love gets slowly buried
Under the strands of a new love's mesh
Even so,
Remember me.
Even if I am just
Nigh
And yet you cannot see me;
I become like a shadow
Shrouded in doubt
Remember me.
If tears well up
And cloud your eyes
If tears
Well up
And cloud your eyes
If suddenly one day
The games come to a halt
On a lovely night
Even so, remember me
If suddenly one day
All work gets obstructed
On an autumn morn
Even so, remember me
If, remembering me,
If,
Remembering me
Tears do not well up
In the corner of your eye
Even,
So,
Remember me
Remember me, even so, remember me.
`
Notes on translation:
The phrase "mone rekho" translates in English to "remember". I have had to add 'me' ("remember me") to preserve meaning. However, it detracts from the open-ended sense of beauty of the original phrase.
The repetition of phrases and break-up of sentences into lines follows the manner in which the original is sung.
